and so it begins...

Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in. It's been two lonely years since Taking Liberties finally ground to a halt, and I put up my last film blog post. But we are now being hauled out of retirement, saddling up the cavalry, and venturing forth into the great unkown of film distribution one last time....

A lot's changed since the heady days of 2007... Blair is now off creating peace in the middle east, the world is now a twittering, and a new spectre has risen to plunge our lives into darkness. After having valiantly fought off the advances of a creeping police state (well, not really, but we gave it our best shot) we are now confronted with a more insidious and terrifying foe. None other than the modern Media has evolved into an omnipresent and suffocating ogre that threatens to suppress and control our lives by saturating our world with celebrity. "wait - aren't you scruffy film types an integral part of the very same media elite you intend to critique" I hear you cry. Indeed we are - and we're going to bring down the whole rotten and twisted system from within. Well, we're going to do our best.

All I can safely say for now is that if I ever work in this town again, then I haven't done my job properly.

Starsuckers is edging towards completion, but is currently in that perilous no mans land between the edit suite and the lawyers. Many a film has stumbled at this last hurdle, so crap knows if we're going to have anything ready for the London Film Festival Premiere on the 28th October. Just been told that there are hardly any tickets left, but there is another screening on the 29th at 1pm where tickets are still available.

Failing that there are bookings starting to come in thick and fast for the theatrical release on the 30th October - watch this space.

So what's the film about then? Well, that would ruin the surprise....
